Please note that the exact location of these items in the menu is phone-specific.
Usually there is a submenu called 'Synchronization', 'Remote
Synchronization', or 'SyncML' which contains items similar
to those listed above. Should you have any troubles setting up your phone,
contact us.
If your phone supports both calendar and tasks but lets you enter only one database
address, then enter cal and check the 'Calendar and tasks share
one database' checkbox in the sync settings.
In addition to the SyncML settings, your phone needs to be set up for Internet access.
If you're using Internet or W@p with your phone for example to read e-mails, then
the same settings should be fine for remote synchronization as well. The amount
of data transferred during one synchronization session varies greatly with the number
of contacts, events, tasks, and notes that you are synchronizing. Compelson SyncML Server
and your phone work together making every effort to keep the amount as small as possible.
First synchronization session, during which all the phone data is sent to the server,
might use up around 100 kB for a typical user with 200 contacts in his/her phonebook.
Subsequent sessions, during which only changes are sent, are substantially less demanding
with around 5 kB being the typical amount.
